Thinking about a ‘24 Elantra SEL real-world performance?

I've been thinking about getting a 2024 Elantra SEL. It's a bit roomier than my old ride, which is something I really like, and the crash ratings look promising. I've come across some reviews mentioning that it goes from 0 to 60 in around 12 seconds and that it gets great mileage on the highway, hitting the high 30s

Are there any current owners out there who can give me the scoop on how it performs in everyday driving? I'd really value your insights

I did 0-60 times in 12 seconds on a corolla which didn even had power windows. Where do you get these numbers from?

I can only vouch for the fuel economy, I usually hover in the high 30s without trying too hard and yh the extra space too

I think somebody else here has posted about this.
Anyway, that 0-60mph you saw is way off since most reviews I've seen mention more like 8 seconds.
It's not a rocket, but it's plenty quick for getting on the highway and passing cars in daily traffic.
The SEL's 2.0L engine and CVT are a solid, smooth combo.
As for the gas mileage, the high 30s on the highway are totally realistic, and even reaching 40 MPG isn't unexpected.
It's a great commuter and doesn't feel sluggish at all unless you're expecting sports car performance.
You'll be really happy with the space inside and the tech, it feels much more premium than you'd expect for the price!
