2015 Elantra SE CV axle replacement

I was looking under my 2015 Elantra SE after work today (like, now...) because of some weird noises from the front suspension. I noticed the inner CV boot looks torn on the passenger's side but didn't spot any grease leaks yet. Could this be causing the noise? Also, how hard is it to replace the axle on this car?

I think there's a member here who also had a similar problem, but he has a newer model than yours.
Anyway, a torn inner CV boot can still be the source of noise even without grease actively slinging out yet.
Replacing the entire axle is generally the recommended fix for a torn boot on these cars, as it's often more cost-effective and reliable than just replacing the boot itself.
It's a DIY job for someone with some mechanical experience and the right tools.
If you're not comfortable with suspension work, it might be best to bring it to a mechanic.

Can you be a bit specific with the noise you're hearing? Yeah, the CV joint can cause some noises, but it's not the only culprit. What exactly are you hearing and in which situations?
