Misfire Problems

Ran into something with my 2017 Elantra recently, the engine stumbling and throwing misfire codes and after some digging, it looks like the fuel injectors are the likely culprits. Cylinders were misfiring badly enough that it went from an occasional hiccup to a pretty rough ride in just a short time. I'm debating whether it makes sense to try cleaning the injectors first or just replace them altogether but injectors can be pricey,

If the misfires happen regularly and are quite noticeable, it's usually better to go with a replacement for the long-term safety. However, if they're only a bit dirty, a good ultrasonic cleaning could get them working again and help you save some money.

I would try with some injector cleaner just to see if the misfires are getting better or something like that. If it does then it's the injectors and you might consider replacing them. If not, then it's another problem, probably the spark plugs.
