Weird temp sensor behavior, phantom overheating?

Hoping someone's seen this before. I've got a 2018 Hyundai Elantra (2.0L) that's started throwing me curveballs with the temp sensor, the gauge needle has been creeping higher than usual and then dropping back down like nothing happened, no warning and stuff, I did a basic check, coolant n all feels like they're all good or...did I miss something?, what could be the issue now, I wonder now

If your temperature gauge is all over the place, it could mean your temperature sensor is on the fritz or maybe your thermostat is sticking. Even if your coolant level looks okay, don't just stop there, check how well the coolant is flowing and take a look at the radiator cap too

Are modern cars becoming so sensor-dependent that a simple temp gauge glitch signals a bigger electronic nightmare? Maybe manufacturers make these systems so sensitive they're setting us up for constant repairs and frustration
